Highlights

This program provides trainees the skills and techniques required to meet the operational requirements of food service establishments.

They work on a specified food preparation and production operation activities in the food service establishment to provide the best of product and services to their customers. They may work individually or in a team in a conducive and safe environment. They must also be aware of new development in order to keep up-to-date in the rapidly changing of foodservice sector.

This SKM program in Global Institute of Studies (GIS) is recognized by Ministry of Human Resource (MOHR) and is accredited by Department of Skills Development (JPK- Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran).

Malaysian

All Malaysian aged between 16-45
School leavers with PMR/SPM/UEC Certificate
Other equivalent qualification recognized by Malaysian Government

 

International

International students are welcomed to apply.

Financial Assistance

Trainees pursuing this SKM course are eligible to apply for financial assistance below:

  • Perbadanan Tabung Pembangunan Kemahiran (PTPK)/ Skills Development Fund Corporation

A statutory corporation managed by the Ministry of Human Resources to provide loans for those individuals who undergo skills trainings at accredited training centres. This loan is applicable to trainees under Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM), Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM).

  • Industrial Sponsor

Selected qualified trainees may receive financial assistance from GIS Industrial Partners.
