Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management The Global Institute of Studies School of Tourism & Hospitality was established in year 2004 with the aim of training school leavers to fulfill the needs the of the ever growing tourism and hospitality Industry. On this line, the College is to introduce the Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management. Students, through this programmed, are exposed to both the Tourism and the Hospitality Industry simultaneously.
Tourism and Hospitality Management has a strong tradition of providing programmed with a sound vocational base, promoting skill development as well as intellectual challenge. The Faculty academic staff or lecturers who are teaching have spent time within the relevant industries, enabling them to help students apply and relate their learning to the actual work environment. Global Institute Of Studies also has a close link with Organizations such as hotels, caterers and also the Malaysian Tourism Board. This ensures that the programs are kept up-to-date with the needs of the industries they serve. The employment and career advancement prospects for the student are amongst the best in the country, with many firms actively seeking to recruit their new staffs from the school. The Global Institute of Studies is focus more on the critical interface between the application of theory and practice. Students are supported by the comprehensive teaching facilities. This programmed are offered by the college are specifically designed for those who wish to specialize in a particular area with a view to seeking employment and also higher certificates in that field.
Requirement : Pass SPM with 3 credit, pass Bahasa Malaysia.
Duration : The Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management is a 3 years (9 Semesters) course. Course Duration includes examination, practical assessment & lecture.
